Bible Study Guidelines:
Ps 119:37
Turn away my eyes from seeing vanity; in Your way give me life.
- In studying the bible we need to be systematic. We should not skip any part.
- It is important to study everything in context for us to understand what it is the Holy Spirit wants us to learn from what we are reading.
- Regular and thorough study of the bible is what is necessary.
- A bible student is almost like a detective while doing bible study, seeing things that other people miss.
- You have to look at every detail making sure you are not missing anything important in your bible study.
There are a few steps involved in this process:
- You have to notice the things other people usually miss.
- Then you have to start asking questions on the basis of what you have discovered.
- Now you have to put all the "evidence" together and interpret it.
- Now you bring all the things that belong together, together and try and find out what it means in context.
- Only after careful consideration has been given to all the "evidence" you can decide what you think really happened and what the application, of this piece of scripture, is in your life.
- Do not draw any conclusions before you have given all the details prayerful thought, jumping to conclusions on the basis of your emotions can be very dangerous.

No one puts new wine into old wineskins, else the new wine bursts the wineskins, and the wine spills, and the wineskins will be ruined.
The new wine must be put into new wineskins.
